What is the distance and the displacement of the race car drivers in the Indy 500?

Displacement (vector), the difference between the path of the initial and final position covered by a moving object. Meaning start to finish should be approx 500 miles. Give or take some feet in reference to the start line and actual position of the driver from his starting position on the track.
