Not able to install Win pro on Inspiron 530. giving Disk read error please help.?

I have a Inspiron 530 desktop which came with Vista. I bought a Win XP pro and tried to install it. During the installation i could format C drive and when the machene restarted its giving "" Disk read Error.. press Ctrl+Atl+Delete to restart". The XP pro disk i bought says version 2004 on it. Please Help.
