I got my copy of McLuhan's "The Medium is the Message", but...?

...on the front and back covers, spine and title page, it says "Mage", not "Message"!!! It is the 2001 edition by Gingko Press, but I noticed a 1967 edition (by the same authors) is titled "The Medium Is the Message". Why this inconsistency? Is it a play on words? A typo? Help! This is driving me nuts.
