Linen restoration question?

Do not put it in the washing machine. Antique quilts cannot handle the agitation. The dryer will ruin the batting.. Instead fill the tub with cool water and add some ermilk. By hand push the quilt up and down in the water. Drain tub and rinse. Now air dry. Quilting for more then 20 yrs
