My daughter is sick...is it just a cold or more serious?

my son was recently hospitalized with rsv. id take her to the doc. I had called the doc on a monday to report his symptoms. they told me just to watch him that he didnt need to be seen. by the time i called again on that wednesday they told me to take him to the er. i thought he had a cold too but was worried because his breathing seemed fast
