How does the author communicate her opinion on the subject?

To me this says the author is railing against women having to be subservient, doing only menial work, being treated as second cl citizens. Women forced to leave their homes & babies who need them. Women having no choice. She also conveys the strength of will, where they are "moving with grace" a certain pride in themselves. Hope this helps.
