American Bands or English Bands? Who did it better?

Do what better? I thought Tom Jones was something else. When you hear him speak it doesn't sound like he is Britsh. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Hmm I don't think you put up a fair amount of American bands but nevertheless I think they are equal.
